Leftovers

Thanksgiving came and went so quickly this year. I feel like the older I get, the faster time flies by. Now we are in that amazing window of time between Thanksgiving and Christmas and I want to savor every moment of it. I know it will also fly right on by and I just want to soak it up.

Thanksgiving was wonderful! Jack and I spent the day at my parent's house. It was just the 4 of us. I'm an only child, so for most Thanksgiving's I can remember, it was just the 3 of us. My dad fried a turkey for the first time which turned out delicious, although it was terrifying to watch. I made a pumpkin spice latte cheesecake. The recipe came from here.
This is mine. It didn't look as good as the one on the blog, but still was very tasty!
We already ate all of our leftovers because we are little piggies.

Unfortunately, Jack's family lives in Portland so we weren't able to see them. The best we could do was call them and talk on speaker phone for a little while. We will spend this Christmas in Portland, though, so we are looking forward to that. This will be my first Christmas away from my own family, but this is how it will be now.

On another note, we finally got our wedding photos back. Here are a few of my favs:

Me getting ready.

Joe (BIL) helping Jack with his bout.
Hugging my dad right before we were going to walk.

My pretty flowers!

A look of adoration for my new husband :)

They had to talk me into taking this photo.

Happy!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!
